Scheduled Outage 9/27/17 6:00 AM Central Time

As a valued customer, we are committed to keeping you informed about any changes in the status of your service with us. In the early morning of 9/19/2017 we experienced a drop in power from the utility company providing us electrical service. The on-site generator started however the battery backup infrastructure suffered a mechanical issue and as a result power feeding data center equipment was interrupted. Our staff was able to bypass and restore power shortly thereafter.

Due to the scope and nature of the work necessary to fully repair the electrical equipment this post will serve as advance notice for electrical maintenance on Wednesday 9/27/2017 at 6:00am Central Time. During that time, we will be making repairs and upgrades to the UPS and UPS electrical systems. This maintenance work will require the data center power feeds be shut down and all equipment shut off. If possible, we ask that you shut down your equipment at 5:30am Central Time in preparation. Any equipment that has not been powered off by 5:45am will be shut down by our staff as gracefully as possible. Once all maintenance work is concluded, technicians will power all equipment back on and you will receive an email stating that services have been restored.

Maintenance Start time: Wednesday, September 27, 2017 6:00am Central Time
Maintenance End time: Wednesday, September 27, 2017 9:00am Central Time

Expected Downtime: 3-4 hours

During the remainder of this week, electricians will be working on-site doing as much preparation as possible to make sure the maintenance window can be completed with the least amount of down time. We recommend that you take time this week to verify your data backups are up-to date.

Our staff will be closely monitoring the work and will do everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to you.  To ensure our staff is focused solely on restoring services as quickly as possible, no customers will be allowed on-site and no customer equipment upgrades will be made during or directly following the maintenance. Once all maintenance work is concluded, technicians will power all equipment back on and you will receive an email stating that services have been restored.

If you have any problems with your connection after this time, or if you have any questions regarding the maintenance at any point, please contact customer support by e-mailing [email protected].

We appreciate your patience during this work and welcome any feedback. Thank you for being a Joe’s DC customer.

Sincerely,

Joe Morgan
